Microneedling with PRP is an all-natural skin treatment that is safe for all skin types. It is a non-invasive and chemical-free treatment that utilizes your own body’s reparative cells to regenerate new collagen and elastin to rejuvenate your skin.

What is Microneedling?

At our office in Allentown, PA, microneedling is a safe, chemical-free treatment that allows your body to trigger new collagen production for your face. Also known as collagen induction therapy (CIT), microneedling is more than just the latest trend to treat your skin for a more youthful appearance. It is a minimally invasive treatment that uses fine needles to create micro-perforations in the skin. This kind of controlled skin injury triggers the body to create new collagen and elastin. This can help soften signs of aging (such as fine lines), fade acne scars, minimize pores, and generally improve your skin texture, leaving your skin looking more youthful and refreshed. When you come to our medical practice for microneedling, or collagen induction therapy, the result is smoother, firmer, more even-looking skin. And unlike laser treatments, microneedling is safe for all skin colors and types.

What is Microneedling with PRP?

Microneedling with PRP, also known as Collagen Induction Therapy with PRP, is a highly effective and natural skin rejuvenation procedure. It combines the benefits of microneedling, a minimally invasive treatment, with the regenerative properties of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) derived from your own blood.

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma): PRP is a component of your own blood that is rich in growth factors and other regenerative elements. During the treatment, a small amount of blood is drawn from your arm, similar to a routine blood test. The blood is then processed in a centrifuge to separate and concentrate the platelets and plasma. The resulting PRP is packed with growth factors that promote tissue repair and regeneration.

Benefits of Microneedling with PRP:

  • The treatment harnesses your body’s natural healing abilities to rejuvenate your skin.
  • Microneedling stimulates collagen and elastin production, resulting in firmer and more youthful-looking skin.
  • Fine lines and wrinkles are softened, and skin texture is improved.
  • The procedure can minimize the appearance of scars, including acne scars.
  • Microneedling with PRP can even out skin tone and improve overall skin texture.
  • Compared to more invasive procedures, downtime is minimal, and you can typically resume your normal activities within a few days.

Microneedling with PRP is a versatile and effective option for individuals seeking to rejuvenate their skin, improve its texture, and achieve a more youthful appearance. It is suitable for various skin types and can be used on the face, neck, chest, and other areas of the body to address a range of cosmetic concerns.
